Here at Slowhayes Alpacas, we are surrounded by wildlife and nature.
Our alpacas welfare is first and foremost and as they are such gentle and calming animals we welcome people to enjoy their company in a mindful way ensuring our alpacas are happy and comfortable too.
We offer alpaca experiences, creating memories for you to treasure. An opportunity to unwind and connect with nature and our beautiful alpacas. We are small and personal, and offer a unique experience away from crowds, we also some lovely Herdwick Sheep, known for their happy smiley faces which we invite you to experience their healing and relaxing company in a mindful way.
It is well known that being around nature is good for our mental health, when you come here you are surrounded with our gentle alpacas and the calmness of nature.

Meet and Greet (Available all year round)
This is the perfect experience for all the family, young or senior. A great opportunity to learn more about the alpacas with an informative talk while the alpacas graze up close, enjoy feeding them and get to know their personalities. A fantastic way to get up close to the alpacas and also meet our giant rabbit.

Mindful Walk With Alpacas
(Available from May to September)
We offer slow, quiet and peaceful walks with these gentle animals around fields for you to enjoy. Enjoy walking your very own alpaca and getting to know all about them.

An Afternoon Tea With The Alpacas
(Available all year round)
Enjoy a selection of sandwiches, cakes warm scones and a pot of tea. A unique experience, a chance to get to know more about our lovely alpacas and be up close to them in their own environment. An opportunity to feed them afterwards. A truly lovely experience, perfect for couples or famililes with older children.

We sell hats, scarves, gloves, and rugs made from our own Alpacas fleece.
Our Alpacas are nurtured with love and care. We also sell Alpaca Duvets and pillows. Please ask, call or email to purchase.

Our Alpacas
We have a growing herd of Suri Alpacas from top quality champion bloodlines. We breed quality coloured Suri's with friendly temperaments and beautiful fleeces. Alpacas have to be sheared for their welfare, we do this once a year and then use the fleece to make lovely products, happy in the knowledge that our alpacas are still enjoying the grass in the fields. Our alpacas are nurtured with love and care from the moment they set foot on our farm. Their welfare is of utmost important to us.
